The course includes an overview of pre-natal and post-natal advancement of kids from birth to 12 months. Trainees will find out about teenage pregnancy and the specialized care and demands of newborns. Course work also includes the Pregnancy Profile curriculum, Reality Works simulator infant curriculum, and a number of hands-on projects and activities.

Trainees will learn more about developmental milestones and the unique care needed for children in this age group. Course work consists of independent jobs and group activities. Students will have a summary of the kinds of childcare facilities in Manitoba, theorists in childcare, diverse abilities and unique requirements of children, assisted finding out experiences in center curricula, youth stress factors, and developing positive working relationships.

A practicum part will take place duringterm 4. Students discover child advancement at particular ages, assistance of young kids, development of safe and healthy environments, significance of play, youth diseases, and partnership with parents, professionalism, and assisting learning experiences. Course work consists of independent tasks and group activities. A practicum will occur during Term 4.
